Is your charity creating an atmosphere of hope? Especially for your clients? Now more than ever, I believe every organisation needs to work on this. Your clients, your donors, your staff, your volunteers, they all need a little extra hope.
I wanted to share a couple of fundraising projects I’ve recently worked on that included a special element for clients too.
First up – The Village Co, as part of their virtual House Party event, we sent each event participant this sheet to print out and take a selfie with. The Village Co will now collate these images into a beautiful grid and get them printed onto postcards and inserted into each bag so that every woman who receives a Village Co bag can see who their village is. I love that a simple act at a virtual event, can have a long-lasting impact and is now a tangible keepsake for a client.
Secondly – this one was for a charity that works with women who are experiencing homelessness. As part of their Tax Appeal, I wanted to create an additional element that would encourage their clients and remind that that there is a positive future ahead.
We sent each donor a ‘Little note of Hope’ postcard where they could fill in the back with a kind word, or a sentence or two of encouragement for women experiencing homelessness. These get sent back to the organisation where they will be displayed at their Women’s Centre and given out to clients to bring some joy and hope at an anxious time.
Both examples are small gestures that can have a big impact on someone who is feeling more vulnerable at this time.
I would love you to have a think about your organisation, your clients and your donors and how you can some spread some hope at this time.
